Terramar hotel was founded by Josep Negra i Corretger in 1933. At first, it was a small inn visited by people from Palafrugell who started to spend their holidays in Llafranc and Calella. At the very beginning it had only one restaurant, but little by little some rooms were built. At that time, the full board price was sixteen pesetas and the Sunday menu was six pesetas.
The establishment remained open during the civil war and the first foreign tourists started to arrive from the 1940s onwards attracted by our climate, the environment, our reasonable prices and the good attentions they received.

As the years went by, the business has been passing from hand to hand, but always within the same family. Its founder was followed by his son Josep. His daughter Berta and his second wife Pilar managed and modernized the hotel during the 1970s. Nowadays, the fourth generation, formed by Raül, Enric and Jślia Vigas Negra, is in charge of the Terramar Hotel.

During all these years the family has kept the same the philosophy of attention to the client, which is based on a professional and familiar treatment, with readiness and experience but also with the freshness new young generations provide. This is a formula which has attracted holiday makers from all over the world decade after decade.
